We're all being mugged by the reality of short-sighted energy policy by our bloodied leaders

Calgary Herald: Corbella: 'In recent years, Russia has supplied nearly 40 per cent of Europe’s natural gas needs mostly through pipelines. Germany cancelled a new pipeline project that would have made it even more reliant on Russia.


'Meanwhile, in Canada, the $18-billion Shell terminal in Kitimat, B.C., is the only export LNG project taking place here, with more than two dozen other projects being rejected over the past 15 years.

As one MP in Ukraine said, every barrel of Russian oil is filled with Ukrainian blood, but that can be said of the barrel bombs dropped on Yemeni citizens by the Saudi military with Saudi oil. That could be said of the barrel bombs dropped on Syrian civilians by the Assad regime backstopped with Iranian oil wealth,” said Kenney...'
