NDP MPP owned shares in pipeline company while protesting pipelines

Toronto Sun: 'New Democrat MPP Bhutila Karpoche likes to protest pipelines in Canada but also likes to own pipeline stocks and it turns out, she’s not alone in her party. Karpoche, currently seeking re-election in the Toronto riding of Parkdale-High Park has been a frequent protester of the oil and gas industry.

'“As settlers, it is crucial that we stand with Indigenous people, use our privilege to break down colonial systems, and fight to protect our planet,” Karpoche wrote in a social media post in February of 2020.

'The post included several photos of an anti-pipeline protest in Toronto including a photo of her holding a sign that said, “No More Pipelines.”'
