National Post: "Canada has become too complacent in the North America security cocoon. We are seen primarily as a tiny appendage to the U.S. It would take an enormous effort to up our military game and properly defend our interests in the Arctic and in the most dynamic region of the world, but neither the government nor the public seem to have the stomach for such a commitment. If we do not make changes and increase the resources required, we will be left as a small cork bobbing precariously in stormy seas."
