LA Times: “The United States is an overstretched hegemon,” foreign policy scholar Hal Brands of Johns Hopkins wrote in Foreign Affairs last week. “Washington has more responsibilities — and more enemies — than it has coercive means.” More bluntly, we don’t have the resources to fight in Ukraine and the democratic island nation of Taiwan at the same time. The Axis of Evil (Communist China, Iran, and Russia) want to spread us thin.
Wasting men and capital in Ukraine will be ruinous, especially to our Indo-Pacific geo-strategic outlook.
