Too close to home: Ricky Gervais upset that Pope said people who have pets contra kids are selfish

Toronto Sun: The head of the Catholic Church recently expressed concern over global birth rates and suggested pets are “taking the place of children” while branding it “a form of selfishness”. Ricky Gervais is butthurt because he's famously rich, but has elected only to raise what were formerly intended to be shepherd's assistants, outdoor guardians, and pest-killers.
