Calgary Herald: An opposition motion in the House of Commons calling for the removal of COVID-19 travel restrictions was shot down yesterday.
'The deferred motion, put forward on May 19 by Conservative MP Melissa Lantsman (Thornhill), was defeated 202 to 117.
'In the motion, Lantsman called on the government to “immediately revert to pre-pandemic rules and service levels for travel.”
'This would entail removing all COVID-19 related travel restrictions, including random testing, proof of vaccination verification, and checking that vaccine and travel details had been entered on ArriveCAN 72 hours before entering Canada from an international destination.'
