GM to make $2B investment, add light-duty pickup in Oshawa

Calgary Sun: 'It’s expected the Oshawa investment will add more than 2,600 new local jobs.


'Funding from both the federal and Ontario governments — up to $259 million each — will also help secure GM’s first electric vehicle (EV) production line in the province, such as the new commercial BrightDrop vehicle at the company’s Ingersoll facility.


'Premier Doug Ford said investments in Ontario’s auto sector over the past two years have totalled more than $12 billion, including $4 billion on electric vehicles.'
