Toronto Sun: 'Saskatchewan announced a few weeks ago that they were nixing the planned rollout of their digital ID program due to privacy concerns and are happy to instead watch as other provinces act as guinea pigs....
'...The digital ID, as currently proposed in Canada, sounds convenient and fairly harmless. But the digitization of our lives will not stop there, and the uses of the ID will without a doubt expand from their current boundaries.
'There will be mission creep, the question is just how much and how soon. We need to proceed with caution.
'Maybe Saskatchewan is on to something. Maybe other provinces should press pause on their digital ID programs and give people more time to work through what it all means to them.'
