Del Duca and feckless Liberals fail to gain traction with voters as campaign falters
Toronto Sun: 'Leger put voter support for the Del Duca Liberals at 28%, nine points behind Ford’s PCS who sit at 37%. At least he was ahead of the NDP in that part of the poll, on best premier just 13% chose him compared to 20% for the NDP’s Andrea Horwath and 31% for Ford.
'I’ve said from the beginning that the Liberals don’t have a solid, concise message and that was on display Thursday. While holding a news conference at a gas station saying a Liberal government would lower gas prices, Del Duca went on a rant about Ford fighting against carbon taxes. Last I checked, carbon taxes push gas prices up.
'Despite the rhetoric from Horwath and the NDP, the Liberals were the only real option to defeat Ford’s PC government. With just two weeks to go, and based on the campaign they’ve run so far, that won’t be happening.'
