Canada to change spelling of Turkey to ‘Turkiye’, not 'autocratic backwater', following UN move

Global News: 'The Canadian government has quietly changed the name of Turkey to the official Turkish spelling Turkiye in all official communications. The move follows a request by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government for the international community to recognize the authentic spelling of his country’s name.'


Erdogan, pictured below (on the right), is a despot who created a fake coup in TURKEY to liquidate the judiciary. He is a good reminder of why TURKEY doesn't belong in NATO. To hell with him and whatever he wants.
