'BASELESS': Alberta skewers feds over proposed ground meat warning labels

Toronto Sun: 'The UCP government and livestock industry leaders on Monday roasted Ottawa’s plan to attach health warning labels to packages of ground beef and pork.


'And they say it’s another federal impediment to businesses in Western Canada, particularly the cattle industry which produces the lion’s share of the country’s beef.


'The province has implored Health Canada to reverse its plan to mark front packaging with warnings of saturated fat content, but has so far received little feedback, Alberta Agriculture Minister Nate Horner told reporters.'


If Canada isn't successful in ejecting Quebec from the federation, I wouldn't be surprised if Alberta and Saskatchewan secede. That said, they probably won't...
