Analyst: Canada's sanctions against Russia are inconsequential

National Post: 'With Canada wrapping up a busy week bolstering its list of sanctions over Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, observers and pundits were quick to point out the minimal trade relationship this country has with Russia.


'“There’s very little trade between Canada and Russia, but there are in things like aircraft parts and electronics,” he said.


'“(The new sanctions) really tightens it up completely because it means that nothing that could go into arms manufacturing in Russia will be exported from Canada anymore.”'
